I'm new here, so I hope it's okay to jump in with an opinion on this subject:

I agree with Silktie, and a few others, thoughts on this topic, and was very glad to read it actually, because it's exactly what I had thought of but assumed I was doing too much 'straw clutching' It would make sense, to me at least, if the 'traitor' was someone in power: a politician, minister, or even the DG. Any person in those categories would be surprising, especially if it was someone like the Home Secretary. Also, as Spooks writers spent series 7 setting up Connie as a betrayer within the team, I'm not sure that they could repeat such a major storyline again this soon.
