When Ruth calls Harry, he seems weary and resigned, and almost a little pissy about it. It's like he thinks she's calling him for personal reasons, and that she can't do that to him after basically telling him in 9.1 that they can only be really together through work. I still suspect, though, that she really is calling about work.

Yes, I agree she is calling about work. I think Harry is like he is with her, because she is taking a liberty by calling him out of office hours. I think Ruth may have to learn that their relationship going forward, will only be between 9 and 5 or whatever hours they work.
