Interesting idea, Silktie. A far better cliffhanger than the one we actually got. But I don't think Lucas would have shot Harry (I'm very blinkered when it comes to Lucas!).
Lucas wouldn't have needed to be in any further episodes he could have just dissappeared with no follow-up.
