Here we go again.

Ruth was a traitor in S9.

Ruth is a traitor in S10.

Why would Ruth join the Russians/Jim Coaver/the impersonator in killing Tariq whom she loved like a son? To take revenge on Harry because of his affair with Elena? For George/Nico for Pete's sake? Tariq was killed the Russian-way with a poisoned sharp object.

In fact, I liked the episode very much. It was fast-paced like a James Bond movie. I was worried whether the asset was going to make it. I knew that Tariq was going to die, but not in that way. That was a total surprise. I was more concerned that they (whoever they are) would strangle him or shoot. It was very suspenseful. We expected Tariq to make it and at the last moment he was killed in nearly a casual way. Why was Calum near the taxi? Was it near the Thames House?

I am very sad. I loved Tariq. He was cute and so much in love with his job. I wonder how Section D is going to react to his death. I hope that they are not going to brush over his death.

I liked Erin too. It was very hard for her to drop the asset. The talk between Harry and Erin was touching. She still has hope that she can combine her job with her family life. Harry seemed skeptical for a good reason.

I even liked Sasha. He was not as out of control as in the first episode. His mother tried to seduce Harry again, but it did not work too well or I thought so. They might have in common in Sasha or perhaps something more. Who knows? Ilya Gavrik was a perfect baddie, so sinister and smart.

In spite of Harry's brusque attitude toward Ruth, I thought that Harry was trying to protect Ruth from the Gavriks and the outfall of his affair with Elena. He seemed to have tears in his eyes at the end of their conversation. Was he faking his emotion because he asked Ruth to look into Jim Coaver? Was he using Ruth? If that is the case, I give up on Harry, he is a jerk and suggest that Ruth should move on to the HS team. At least Ruth defended her point of view with spirit. I thought Harry was not as emotional with Elena, even though they spoke about Sasha. But I am losing it! Vicky Frost thinks that Harry and Elena are still in love! I really do not know what to think anymore.

I really can't believe that it is Ruth who Tariq saw on the screen. It looks like Elena, but perhaps it is somebody posing as Elena. Could the old face be a woman, such as Juliet, Zoe or Tessa?

I wish there were more scenes between Harry and Ruth, but the episode was so thrilling I did not miss them too much. It would have been nice to see Ruth smiling at Harry or have some hints that their relationship was improving like in episode 1.

I hope that episode 3 will be as exciting as episode 2. I am still hoping for a more positive H/R interaction and a gradual decrease of Harry and Elena sighting.
