still approves her appointment to the SIC, even after she's tried to blackmail him. In 4.4, after Youhzni has killed the prince after a directive issued by her, Harry tells her not to resign, saying, "let's make that a ground rule between us, OK?". He believes in covering for the people who should have his back, even though it's often not reciprocal. In fact he retains a certain affection for Juliet, which makes 6.8 even worse for him. Just think in 5.1 and 5.2, how gentle he is with her immediately after she's attacked, or how kind he is to the Civil Rights lawyer when they're both imprisoned.

Just as a side point, I love that bit in 5.9 when he's in the office immediately after finding out about the two killed officers, and Juliet's stalling and he says "what is it?", followed by "Juliet." The way he says that is so funny. I never fail to imitate him in this scene. Peter Firth's meant to be a bit giggly on set, and I can see this scene being a tough one to get through, especially the "So what?". His diction's so fantastic.

Kudos was very lucky to get him in this role.

You're right, for all his short-tempered outbursts and sometimes plain rudeness, Harry has an old-fashioned chivalrousness about him. I suspect this is one of the reasons many women find him so irresistible! You just know he will open doors for you, and probably be offended if you try to pay if he takes you out on a date.
