Good indicators are that the numbers have gone up again after the initial slump from episodes 1 to 2. That's normal. But they've then increased again by and large every week, against stiff competition.

Basically, if it's the last season, it won't be because of poor ratings.

Last night's figures were a disaster at only 3.9m - the lowest ever.
