RE: Episode 1 Ratings
OK, the numbers FROM BBC1 ONLY:
For the fifth episode, were 3.9 million with a 16% audience share. It was up against Coronation Street and I'm a Celebrity - really? Still working on exact numbers for episode 4. Episode 3 (which we generally agree was the weakest so far this season) earned 4.6 million viewers, 18% share. I think this was Collision's first week. Episode 2 earned 4.5 million viewers and a 19% share up against Collision. Episode 1 figures were very strong at 6million, 25% share. Up against the football, but I can't be sure how much that means. As long as the average figure is above 4.5m they're OK. The BBC3 numbers have been anywhere from 845 000 to 1m, but they're ahrder to track, because they don't have the same accuracy in how they're monitored, that is, they don't know if people switch off part way through. That's also one of the main reasons they don't use iPlayer numbers, some people just replay the same 5 minutes of Harry and Ruth for example. That's the main reason those numbers can't possibly be used as ratings. They don't work on the same Neilsen ratinsg as others. ![]() Many thanks to Tyger for a terrific signature |
