•How did Lucas/John acquire so many cars cars in 9.8?

This puzzled me too! I was thinking that MI5 had a stockpile of top of the range Vauxhall's and Lexus' for its agents to have a good time in, but then it clicked that he had a good taste in cars and just hot-wired them..

•Why does Lucas/John sacrifice everything for Maya?

Another thing that didn't really make sence. My understanding was that was Harry got Lucas back from the russians in S7, Lucas talked about having a wife whom he loved very much before hand. She was russian if i remember correctly.. So why did he do all this for a crush he had when he was much younger..

•Why did Harry give away Albany?

This basically shaped episode 8. Harry gave away albany for 2 reasons..
First of all, it was the only thing that would have kept Ruth alive, and despite having a wife and numerous flings with Juliet, I think harry loved Ruth the most. Second of all, Harry knew he could get it back, or at least he thought he did. When he left Albany in the bin, Lucas (who was just behind him) went to check it, and in confirming it was real, phoned harry.. They talked, and it clicked for Lucas that Harry had given away this top secret file too easily.. He realised about Maya and knew that MI5 knew he was going back to the hotel to get her, so Lucas told Harry to make Beth and co stand down or he would let Ruth die. Harry looked sick as a parrot and agreed, and phoned them to tell them to indeed stand down when Lucas came, however he told one of them to go and tell Maya everything Lucas (or John ) had done, and they fitted her with a tracking device.

Anyway so Lucas got Maya and drove to a destination where he was planning to swap cars when he was near the air strip. Beth and co came following and it was a showdown, where Maya was shot by Beth, hence the revenge with the fake bomb in the london underground station to make harry come to see lucas on the rooftop, and the end of S9.
