I respectful disagree. I think the threats-of-the-week have been very much related, thematically. And sometimes even directly parallel to the past actions and /or emotions of Harry/Elena/Coaver/Ilya. No doubt about it in my mind really, they are functioning as the Greek Chorus. I didn't miss them in this episode, though, b/c their purpose has been served.
