Absolutely agreed on your second point, loved the pause while the phone rang and the look of doubt in his eyes gave way to the old steely determination.

Maybe not a series chum, but the occasional 90minute special wouldn't go amiss. Very James Bond... "Sir Harry Pearce will return..." Even if they don't, at least we can sleep soundly in our beds knowing he's back in charge.
