I have to say episode 6 was my favorite. It was exciting and the cliffhanger was emotional. I also thought Tom's role in the episode was really interesting (esp. his interactions with McCall). Great episode Smile

I haven't seen many British programs (just Spooks and Foyle's War and a little bit of the British version of The Office), but that is pretty interesting. The gore and graphic content on American programs has become pretty ingrained (though sometimes I think they overdo it). I agree with you that its become the norm. Criminal Minds, CSI NY (well actually all of the CSIs...), and 24 have a lot of violence and graphic content.

Sorry if I went a bit off-topic there. I just found the comparison to be interesting. I agree that episode 2 of series 1 was pretty gritty and showed that no character is safe on the show. I like how the show is willing to push boundaries and take lots of risks.
