I just watched this and it was pretty good (actually really good!). I like the addition of Beth. For some reason I always like characters that kick butt (one of the reasons why I like Ros) (but I've liked all of the protagonist characters so far, regardless of whether they are involved in action scenes or not). I'm still a bit saddened by her character getting killed in the last ep, but still liked this ep quite a bit. Nevertheless, I am a bit surprised they didn't mention the last HS' death...

The beginning really shocked me though. Harry killing the old HS. I didn't quite expect him to poison the old HS (Nicolas Blake), but Spooks is always filled with surprises. As for the storyline of this ep, it was really exciting too (esp when its discovered that the real threat are the submarines). In addition, I like how the show went into the ethical debate about whether the ends justify the means. I find that Spooks does a good job of covering the dilemma involved these kinds of ethical issues..
