Most despicable series 9 character?

In reverse order:

3. Robert Westhouse - not as despicable as SC, but the "best" from S9
2. The suitcase - because that idea is so funny (thanks Bravo)
1. The Writers - for coming up with the most ridiculous storyline in the history of Spooks, and an insult the intelligence of Spooks fans worldwide. "Despicable" isn't enough...

I'd like to add "John Bateman" for the reasons given by WhiteSwan above (well listed, WS), but also can't accept that JB is a "character," and also "Maya" - despicable for insulting our intelligence and wasting precious screentime that could've been more gainfully employed by filming Lucas with his shirt off (God, I nearly wrote "shorts off" - Freudian slip? )
