Ha! Maybe it's my Presbyterian background that makes these kinds of endings seem like a sort of well-done-for-watching nod to redemptive potential. I probably shouldn't be so quick to suggest a downbeat ending. This certainly is a show that could deliver a seriously miserable coda. Maybe flashback montages are the preferable option
