She may still not forgive him though. Look at what she gave up so that he stayed as head of Section D in series 5. What is she going to say when she finds out he might have thrown it all away just to save her! That's quite a pedestal to put someone on.

Ahh...me thinks the tables have turned. I think Ruth put Harry on a pedestal for years. Esp. prior to 5.5. I think that is part of the reason she is having such a difficult time coming to terms with her feelings for him now is that they are very, very real. In S9 and a bit at the end of S8, Harry's human weakness' are showing, which NW has mentioned Ruth finds a bit distasteful. I think because she is used to all professional all the time Harry.
