Also, who would like working closely with the person who is "seeing" the Boss, or may be "seeing" the boss, but you can't quite be sure. You wouldn't talk about the same things with that person would you? You would treat Ruth differently, not necessarily in a horrible way, if she was "seeing" Harry. That thought for Ruth, who has not always fitted in with her bookish ways, is probably still as abhorrent as it was back in S5.

I agree people will treat Ruth differently if they think she and Harry are together. They probably wouldn't speak as freely in front of her, and not intentionally, exclude her from the general office chat.
