[spoilers] Harry and Ruth Strike Back

RE: [spoilers] Harry and Ruth Strike Back
This episode made me formulate a theory: When Ruth tells Harry that they've forfeited the chance for a normal life because of the things they've done and seen, I think Harry hears that as meaning that Ruth thinks he is no longer a fundamentally good human being. This whole episode is about Harry trying to make morally good decisions, such as letting the terrorist go in the beginning, and telling the truth to the Professor at the end. Both these decisions can end up costing him his job, but he is taking that risk perhaps to prove to himself and to Ruth that he is still a good man. That would also explain why in the corridor scene, as he's falling on his sword and admitting to making a mistake in letting the guy go, he seems so deeply touched when Ruth tells him it was the decent thing to do.

Maybe now that he knows she still sees him as a good man, he'll ease up on her at work?
