I think I am with YFM on this one. There was no way that JJ would have fitted into the education system, at his age and with his "street ways". Imagine him just being slotted into a course at a Cambridge College. He would have been an outsider. He would have been treated as such and felt as such, and probably would have walked away from it within days.
