Lets face it, Ruth needs to hear some sense from someone. Straight talking Malcolm. He will be much more gentle with her than I would.

I also hope that it's more than a one episode return. Do we know why MWJ left in the first place? Maybe it was significant that Harry told him to go and rest rather acknowledge his retirement. Going off thread a bit here but hey ho!

I don't remember reading any interviews from Hugh Simon as to why he left. Someone else may correct me here, if I have just missed them. Other actors, when they left, have given interviews to explain. Maybe it was for personal reasons, hence the absence of interviews and coming back "part-time" this season. Just speculation on my part but I am glad he is back. My only other thought is that perhaps Malcolm is not back to help Tariq. What if he is back to help Ruth keep track of Lucas on the quiet. She sells it to Malcolm that Harry couldn't cope with this, on top of everything else. Malcolm couldn't resist Ruth. This series is a cracker.

Series if you want to know what the Radio Times said, read this Spoiler: show
The cast list for this episode contained the name of a certain Malcolm Wynn-Jones.
If you go into the site, you can bring up the information for that episode of Spooks. I have just tried it, but the cast list has disappeared. Odd!

Just a hunch but the cyber attack could have been instigated by something on the albany file that Lucas gave to Vaughan on the memory stick. I know it looked like just the one file of a .jpg of a painting of a ship but this is Spooks and maybe we need to suspend our critical facualties! It may have opened the doors to the grid security systems to Vaughan to play with M15 - and Lucas.

On HR, I'm beginning to think the writers are playing with us and it's not going to happen. But I hope not.
