He was a great addition to the grid, but once he had started to turn, there was never going to be any redemption. Question is - did he jump off the roof or did he back away from Harry too much and just fall off?

I think his redemption is killing himself. He didn't hurt Harry, he didn't hurt those people at the station, he ended himself instead because he didn't want to do this anymore, I think that can be counted as an ounce of redemption, he wasn't all the evil rotten man that he was made out to be.

I think he jumped, if he fell because he took a wrong step...ummm that's just too stupid....

Well, I don't see why people can't speculate or have a little hope. Considering the weird storylines Spooks has been dragging themselves into these days, a Lucas resurrection isn't that far-fetched. Maybe we'll see Tariq being revealed as an axe murderer next!

I hope they clear his name in the first episode and we can get on with business as usual, but I have a horrible feeling that it's all going to be dragged out.

I think I quite like the idea of a whole series of Harry being suspended. Watching him walk Scarlet, doing quiz shows etc. Unless Harry turns into "bad ass Harry" in season 10 and the team has to hunt him down. The finale will be Harry kidnapping Fidget and Ruth having to decide whether to save her cat or give us a smile. Wink

For me a superb finale to my favourite series to-date.

So many reasons to miss Lucas/John. For a start he ordered Harry to get his kit off and into that cream suit and blue shirt that took him from being adorable to stunningly gorgeous! The whole episode was so clever and for all that L/J had done and continued to do, he came across as a complex and screwed up guy who had done his best over the past couple of series to make up for all his past dark deeds although for a moment I thought he'd killed Ruth with the injection and was so relieved to see him hang up that drip. When Harry told him he wished he'd met him first and L/J said I do too I felt it the most moving scene of the whole series. Poor Lucas but what a brave way to exit.

Hopefully Ruth crying the way she did will mean she no longer feels dead inside. It seemed her realisation that Harry was alive and her utter despair at Lucas's death was cathartic so she will maybe move on but will she have taken note of Lucas' advice to start being selfish? Nah, certainly didn't seem that way as she watched Harry possibly walk off to his death.

I liked Alec with is flashing blue eyes although if he's still around next series he'll need a fair bit of work on him by the writers if he's to slip comfortably on to the Grid, something Beth's character lacked.

Ah well, another ten months or so to discover if Harry will be decommissioned. I almost hope he will be so he can escape what has become somewhat of a tormented life.

Well I have to say that was one of my series highlights and well worth buying the DVD boxset for, when it comes out. Tongue

Well, I guess the finale is good for one thing, it's given me a new idea for a Lucas video. The song "Believe" by Staind is so perfect to describe Lucas's emotions/feelings in this series and his tragic end.

Especially the lyrics, "So I cry myself to sleep, and hope the Devil I don't meet, in the dreams that I live through", they seem to fit so well with how Vaughn is like the Devil that appears back in his life.

Great song ----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d3s5az1oG0

You'd think they'd have let us see just one more layer come off before they cut away though wouldn't you!

Haha, I thought BLIMEY, that's brave of the BBC, as I scrambled to get closer to the TV, but then it cut away. I mean, what DO you pay your licence fee for!! Smile
