RE: The story behind the Legend
My name came from the a joke between myself and my mentor/supervisor at my summer job. We started giving each other military/spy code-names like in Spooks where there is Alpha One or Tango One, so basically "Bravo" comes from the NATO phonetic alphabet for the letter "B" which stands for my first name "Belinda", and the "Nine" is actually shortened from "Nine-One" which stood for the year 1991 which is when I was born.

So it was originally it was Bravo Nine-One, but for this forum, I thought I go for the Spooks way and just have one number, so it became BravoNine.

I was also thinking of Plankton because that was my nickname (and inside joke) with a close friend, we call each other Plankton and Ameoba, and another friend was added in later as Protozoa. The Plankton came from a Doctor Who episode.

Another name I was thinking was TEN, standing for Turbo Energy Nerd which was also a nickname given by a friend at school!

RE: The story behind the Legend
After all those interesting stories, mine is plain and boring Smile. It's just what people call me, it's short for my name wich is Isabelle. I haven't given it much thought when I first became a member, but now I would choose another nickname, something more adventurous Wink.

RE: The story behind the Legend
I wish I had a more interesting name ha I always see good ones and regret my silly one which no one gets anyway Tongue
i just used my twitter name. And as my lovely neighbour here told me the other day ' I don't get why; the only thing you'll ever inspire me to do is vomit' :O (our whole friendship is based on being mean to one another haha I'm not just being terribly bullied. (Idon't think anyway wah). I can't remember why I chose my twitter name but obv I had a high opinion of myself Tongue I used to use the name 'lozthesuperstar' for things when I was like 12 so obviously modesty never has been my thing Tongue

I like how a lot of people use the phonetic alphabetic though ha or codenames from spooks and I wish I had!

RE: The story behind the Legend
Haha, usually I use names that have some relation to me... this time though, I was getting a bit crazy, I was just doing a lot of thinking about the show and came up with a line later in a song I was writting (I'm a musician and I get inspired A LOT! I've have written songs based around things in Spooks, situations, choices, relationships and stuff, though if you read them it wouldn't seem obvious unless you're looking for it Wink )
And the song I wrote was along the lines of "I must remain Forever Secret" and every Spook has to kept their real selves a secret Wink
I feel very mystical Big Grin

RE: The story behind the Legend
I realised that I never revealed about my own "legend". Apicius is the name of a very early cook book (Roman). I love cooking - my second career according to family and friends. My surname is also derived from the Latin name for one of my favourite spices so thought it was appropriate. I blame my childhood being surrounded by Classics teachers! Bit of a geek Smile
