Will We Get Closure

Hopefully this comes out in the right section.

So thats it.10 fantastic years, and now One week left. How will it all end?
Indeed will it all end....?

Do you think we will get closure? Will the series all be wrapped by the writers?
Or do do you think they will leave us with some loose ends for us to make our own
endings.

I am looking for closure!

In the interviews I've read with Jane Featherstone and the lead writers this season, they have all spoken of a definitive ending, wrapping it all up. I have always, rather gloomily taken that to mean

they kill Harry off. I think H&R get together but he doesn't make it.

I really hope against hope I am wrong about that.

But to answer your question, apart from the plot holes I expect as par for the course, yes I do think this time the closure will be more scripted and we won't have the gaping questions that we were left with in s9 with the demise of Lucas.

The main reason I think everything will be tied up is to prevent Kudos giving in to the temptation to pick up Spooks again in a few years.

TO be honest no i dont think we will, i am not expecting a happy ending for anyone let alone Harry and Ruth! Also the BBC spook website talks abotu harry having to make a devistating personal choice also leads me to think we are in for an emotional rollercoaster!

i cant wait to see what we get im hopefull after ep5 but happy ending i dont expect - no one gets that in spooks land

I would love a happy ending for H&R, but sadly don't think we shall get it.

I'm mixed about the next episode - I am desparate to watch it and see what happens, but don't like the thought of it being the final ever episode

I just hope that i don't burst into tears on Sunday like I did when 24 ended. ( Still in mourning for it, so god knows what im going to be like come 10pm on sunday.) Girlfriend is still taking the mickey out of me for it!

If this is the case I will be really angry - after 10 years the fans deserve a definitive ending. Anything else would not be "clever" just disrespectful.

I think that we'll get closure. It may have been different if the BBC decided to cancel the show whilst this series was airing (the writers may have set up a cliffhanger for the next series, not realising the BBC were going to cancel it) but Kudos decided to end the show themselves after this tenth series, so it suggests they came up with a definitive ending that resolves everything. They may leave something open to the imagination, but I think we'll get closure.

However, I don't think it's going to have a happy ending. I have a niggling feeling that Harry and Ruth aren't going to get 'their happy ending'... I think Ruth is going to be killed off... and I think Demitri will be killed off doing something heroic... the only happy ending I can see is with Erin... maybe she decides the job isn't for her after all and moves away with her daughter and her mum?

i reckon by looking at the preview after ep5, the whole ruth saying leave the service with me blah blah but would they show us that if it was going to happen??

i seriously doubt it will end happily. im guessing we'll get the inkling of a happy end but it will be dashed by some kind of incident.

(completely my opinion i do not know anything at all about the end!)
