What do you mean? whether Spooks's on tv here in España? No, it's a pitty but the only series we can watch on tv are spanish and from the USA, and those are dubbed, and I hate that, I prefer subtitles! I learnt a lot of English watching no-dubbed series! At first I didn't understand a thing!!! Blush

Dubbing is incredibly bizarre - I once watched Doctor Who in German and that was hilarious. Had no idea what they were saying (well, I knew the script off by heart, but I couldn't translate Blush ) but it sounded funny.

DANNY - Placements all over the shop. Back up vehicles, chopper support if we need it. Bomb disposal with a signal jammer for Mary’s trademark remote control blasts. And Tom here’s doing the catering. Mate. You are so covered.

Yes it's very strange, but here we are used to it! There's no series or film that it isn't dubbed... Not in tv.

Well, nowadays in cinemas there is a (I don't know how to say it in English) "room" where they show a subtitled version of the film, in original version, but the other 10 "rooms" show a dubbed-film! People don't often go to see an original-version film

Erm, trying to think of the right word... Well, room is an alright word to use there, I think. If I go to the cinema and I want to know what 'room' it's in, it will say screen 1 or 2, etc, so you could say that one screen shows a subtitled version, and the other 10 screens show the dubbed film. But I think rooms is a good enough word there. Smile

I think screen is the word I was looking for, thanks! I translated directly from spanish I wasn't sure...
I like learning new words, overall, everyday ones, not so formal, I think most of the words we learn are formal... hehe

I'm enjoying a lot being in this forum (sorry for repeating myself but is true Blush) I like Spooks and learning English so... it's great! Big Grin Tongue

RE: Spanish fan here
Hi!!
Sorry to say, there're no subtitles for those episodes, it's too early for episode 5, but I don't know why there are none for 4...

Bienvenido, by the way Wink You can introduce yourself in this very section if you want
