I was so comfortable in my mum's belly that doctors had to induce labor... I think that says a lot about me... Silba

If often wonder why I rushed to be born, my mum said she had what she thought was a tough of indigestion, she stood up to get something off the mantlepiece and said If she hadn't stepped back I would have struck my head on the hearth.

All three of my children were born late, as was I. The boys were both 10 days late and my daughter a week late. She was born on a bank holiday which was great because we didn't have to pay for parking at the hospital!!!

RE: Tell us something about you!
I carefully packed my 'bag' for the hospital with all the things the midwife said we would need for a lengthly labour - novels, sandwiches, energy lozenges, massage oil, music, travel backgammon! 'It's not going to be like on the telly' the midwife said as all the mums-to-be hung onto her every word, taking notes! Wrong, wrong, wrong. Just about made it up in the lift to the ward on both occassions (especially the second time). We still laugh about my laminated birthing plan that never made it out of the bag!

LOL, Watchstrap!

And good for you, Hells Bells - no one should pay for parking on top of it all!

My birth plan? Told the Doctor: Healthy Mommy. Healthy baby. That's my "birth plan."

We quit Lamaze classes before they could kick us out. Angel It just seemed silly. We giggled a lot and were, I fear, a bit disruptive. They were just so freakin' SERIOUS! I like to let things "crinkle out." Wink

Instead, I concentrated on what was really important - music choice! Kid #1: Peter Gabriel, #2: opera arias, #3: Beethoven.

Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks];
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

RE: Tell us something about you!
I haven't a clue what it's like to have a normal birth as I had 2 C.sections, I'm only 4ft 10 tall and the doctors discovered it would be impossible for me to have them normally. Both my kids were just over 8 pounds in weigh I was soooooo big I waddled like a penguin.

I'm only 5ft, and I also waddled like a penguin and looked like a huge beach ball, I think I was as wide as I was tall! My doctor told me I could not have a home birth because my feet were too small???????
Moved to a different county and had a home birth for baby number two.

RE: Tell us something about you!
I could not have a normal birth because I had an extra bone which would have prevented the baby exiting.

I used to be an artist manager / agent (stand up comedy) which I did for 4 years. People find it hard to believe I got bored with travelling to scout for talent and producing events, and gave it up to be a solicitor... but 'strue! I plan to save the world Smile
