I think if Ros dies then too many central characters will have been killed off in Season 8, if Harry is written out of the show then IMO they might as well finish the show because Harry's character is essential for the continued success of the show

I agree with Beatriz, Nitrus and Tea Lady...NO HARRY = NO SPOOKS!!

In my view the Ros character is not essential to the script/plot in the same way as Harry ... I loved the series before Ros came: ... To me, Ros is not an 'endearing' character. (I'm sure the character is not meant to be endearing) I have not seen all of Series 8 yet: but I'm not sure that the Ros character warrants/deserves another 'resurrection' .... I think may be many devoted Ros fans will scream at me for writing this.

"Screaming" Ros is so cool she has to be OK! You can't lose Malcolm Jo and Ros in the same series that's overkill.

RE: [spoilers] Facebook group for Ros
I must admit though I was not a Ros fan until season 7. But she's slowly become a great character, and HN was fabulous this season.

My main concern about her leaving is it leaves a lot of holes in the team to replace for what would be presumably a final season. (Don't all jump on me for that, it's a whole other argument.)

Many thanks to Tyger for a terrific signature

I couldn't agree more with JHyde, both points, just what I think.

RE: [spoilers] Facebook group for Ros
Losing Malcolm, Jo and Ros in one series is 'overkill', Kirmostar "screaming" ...I agree, but you could say that Spooks is a bit inclined to the 'over kill', not an unexpected development, surely?

HN is a great actor: I loved her in Wire in the Blood. Please don't misunderstand my criticism of the Ros character: I'm just not that keen on the Ros character, I'm not criticising HN's acting/performance in any way.

Indeed, JHyde and Beatriz, there would be a number of holes in the team if Ros leaves: BUT it does create an opportunity for the writers, in future episodes/series to:
(a) Introduce new permanent team members and/OR
(b) Work in a few 'cameo' appearances by former characters, like Malcolm and/OR
© Develop 'existing' characters along different paths, maybe revealing unknown 'talents', for example, Tariq. (Bearing in mind I have not seen all of Series 8 yet.)
