[spoilers] Harry and Ruth

RE: [spoilers] Harry and Ruth
I doubt that they will give it to us in time for Christmas Sad They're cruel like that sometimes.

Did anyone notice much HR in the time between 5.5 and 8.1? There was a bit in 5.6, when he sees Ruth there, but was there much else? Just wondering if the writers did notice it then and put it in the script

It was never clear in 6.3 when Harry is "missing something....someone" whether he is talking about Zaf or Ruth or both. I like to think it was both.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that moment! I like to think it was Ruth, but that's me being a hopeless shipper Wink

RE: [spoilers] Harry and Ruth
I must say that I enjoyed Harry's particularly
Spoiler: show
intense looks at Ruth
in 8.8. And Ruth still seems to want to run away when she spots them! And I very much liked that Harry
Spoiler: show
was so amused that Ruth was happy to challenge him
very sweet!

Those moments were Heart Smile Episode 8 was pretty good for HR moments in series 8, as was episode 2, and there was a bit at the beginning of episode 3...

Remember you don't need spoiler tags in this thread unless you're talking about confirmed future spoilers - which at this point in time is none!

All good. Ultimately, it's better to use them than not. If you've got any questions just ask me or one of the other Mods.

RE: [spoilers] Harry and Ruth
We have discussed what present Harry would give Ruth for Christmas and the fact that he's not too great at it, but what about Ruth? The only present we know of that she ever gave Harry was a few bottles of Scotch - not exactly imaginitive either! What could Ruth have given Harry for Christmas?

RE: [spoilers] Harry and Ruth
Excellent question!

I suspect it would be a book or music. In terms of books, I'd probably go for a really beautiful choice of a history text, think thick creamy pages with beautiful pictures, maybe something on the Crusades or the English Civil War. In terms of music, Ruth would have a better idea than we do, but I think some Schubert or Bach would be lovely, if it was a complete set, and she would know of pieces that had special importance to him.

Those bottles of scotch came relatively early in their "relationship", so she could be forgiven for not doing so well the first time around. I'm sure she had something planned already for his birthday in 2006 before she had to run away.

She could always get him some cufflinks with mules/donkeys on the side.
