When he was his normal self, as Ben, I think the bad actor vibes take over but, his lack of emotion, part of the furniture persona worked very well when he was in the field. He always appeared lost in his thoughts, doing his own thing and paying attention to no one at all.
It's just instinct to turn when someone circles around behind you. Granted, it was a spectacular death but not believable in the least. Rooftop scene: Beth and Dmitri sneak up and disarm Lucas, cuff him and lead him away. Lucas screams, "No Harry please, I'd rather die!" Harry: "We're sending you to rehab ................. in Texas."
