Didn't Peter Firth say something about how in the beginning of the show, MI5 used to give them cooperation and stuff, but the guys they send can never say or answer anything, and then later they just stopped cooperating, and Peter said something about how that freed the show to tell its own stories, and how MI5 may have stopped cooperating because the show was hitting a little too close to home.

Funny how it's different with one of the US shows called Covert Affairs, a show about a young female CIA agent. The CIA gave the show access into Langley to talk to its staff and are relishing in cooperating with a show that portrays the CIA in a positive light. I think the CIA was tired of them always being portrayed as the bad guys, so when Covert Affairs came on, they were so happy to help a show portray the CIA as a nicer agency! Cute!
