Episode 5.6 discussion [re-watch]

I just re-watched this for the first time since I originally watched it a couple of years ago and was struck by a couple of things.

~I actually liked Ros in this episode, which I hadn't really remembered. She was downright friendly with Malcolm (this explains why I've seen Ros/Malcolm pairings in fanfic, because I couldn't imagine it otherwise.) I did laugh when he was supposedly injecting that thing behind her ear, because it's so obviously a dummy that it's ridiculous.
~This storyline - or at least Neil's manipulation of Sally - would not have worked if Ruth were still on the Grid.
~I really paid attention to Harry in this episode and I agree that other than the look at her chair, you'd have never known that he just lost someone very close to him. Of course if you take the information from Harry's Diary into the story, then I can look at this ep as though it takes place several weeks or even more than a month after Ruth left and it seems to fit better.
