Now if we could all return to discussing what was said in the interview and refrain from hijacking another thread with general non-specific anti-writers talk. That would be swell.

And before you all jump on me for being rude/inconsiderate/fascist or whatever your chosen word is today. I think I'm saying what a great deal of other people are thinking and while I appreciate your right to express opinion I think you can do so with a little more tact and consideration to other people.
