They're cut in the episodes, but then again the episodes are a brief glimpse of what happens over a week, month, but rarely a couple of days, so they can skip out the boring part. I don't know if it would work with being shown in double time. Does that make any sense?

I think if it was a kind of TV movie, more like a Spooks special it would be worth it. Something with a storyline that would be too long to do in a one hour series and wouldn't do well as a two parter. They could really get their teeth stuck into a good script and not be restricted by time. I liked last year how the BBC did a two parter to introduce the new series. Something like that might be better. It would have to be something really special, some kind of apocalypse storyline. The end of the world as we know it kind of thing!
