How did you get into watching Spooks?

I got hooked by the adverts for series 7. I remember there being a clip of the submarine ep. RA had died in Robin Hood and of course I was devastated, found out RA was joining spooks and so watched it then played catch up!

I first caught a single episode of Spooks on a satellite channel, saw one episode and went straight out and got the box set on dvd. Quality acting, brilliant scripting, fantastic plots and characterisation

It all began thanks to a recommendation in a Spanish forum about series, we were whining because season 2 of Ashes to Ashes had finished and someone came up with Spooks. I knew nothing about it. It was summer and I didn't have any tv shows to watch so I started watching it. It got me hooked just from the very beginning.
I'm in the same situation as kochamns, but for being in a different coutry; Spanish tv is horrible so I must look for some quality tv outside it

My husband started watching it around the start of series 3, when it was broadcast on a Mon night in the UK. I taught a fitness class on that night of the week so I didn't bother as I always missed the start of the episode, plus I reckoned that as I had missed 2 whole series it would be too much trouble to catch up with all the characters. Then my best friend and I were moaning about the demise of The Vice and she suggested Spooks, said that RPJ was in it and he was hot! So that was the shallow reason I started watching my first episode (Alfie!). Next time I met up with my friend I thanked her for the recommendation and whilst agreeing that Rupe was indeed hot, PF was much hotter!
After that I watched every episode and loved it. I didn't go back and watch any earlier series until last summer when my husband arrived home with this Media Player device that had amongst loads of other TV stuff, every series of Spooks ever made on it. So we sat and watched the lot over a couple of months. This is when I became truly hooked and I now dip into the old stuff on a regular basis.

I started watching it from series 5 because i got into watching wire in the blood which started HN.When she,d left and I heard that she was in spooks, so I brought the box set and was hooked straight away. I have most of the box sets.

i blame the end of ashes to ashes and wanting more keeley hawes in my life so i bought the s1 box set watched it in two days in june then got s2 and so on and totaly watched it all in 3 weeks and have become a proper little spooks obsessive i got the books as well i am now rewatching each ep (onto s7) for the 2nd time to get in the mood so s9 when ever it appears!

I started watching spooks because it was the only interesting thing on TV on friday night and i was channel surfing. It was the first episode of the first series, and I was 13 or 14... and i've been hooked since. Despite Auntie's inability to broadcast Spooks in a timely manner.

July 4th w/end 2009 KCTS Channel 9 Seattle showed the first episode & I was addicted w/in the first few minutes. Nobody here in The Colonies knows what it is. I seem to have dropped out sometime during the 2nd Season so I'm going to borrow it from the library.

I have watched it from the very first episode on the BBC, and I don't think I have ever missed an episode. (Maybe I should get out more ??)

I love spy and intrigue shows and saw MI-5 airing here in the U.S. and gave it a go. I have been a huge fan since then. I have watched the shows over and over and enjoy them every single time!
