Am I in for a treat?
I haven't watched Series 9 yet, so it's risky me coming into this forum haha but am I in for a treat guys? Will I be wanting to watch the episodes back to back non stop until I'm done?

I am at university at the moment and I was going to catch up on I Player each week, but my parents have recorded all the episodes for me at home so I can watch them all in one go when I'm back home for Christmas!

I'm super excited! Smile I kind of wish I caught up using iPlayer now though as the wait is killing me.. I've just been rewatching my DVDs over and over again instead.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum! I was torn whether to put this here or in General Discussion...

RE: Am I in for a treat?
Well i think you are definitely in for a treat.

Some people have issues with the over-running storyline which is understandable, however it's generally agreed that the series is good solid entertainment.

I was very impressed and quite like watching them over and over again. Tongue

i think watching it all together is a great idea... its a little shaky to begin with you really feel the loss of ros but you will be on the edge of your seat by the end

RE: Am I in for a treat?
I think you're definitely in for a treat. This series was better than series 8 in my opinion. I'm amazed about your willpower though. I don't think I would've been able to stop myself from watching series 9 until Christmas! I found it difficult to wait a whole week for another episode.

Yes, a treat for defo. I really enjoyed it. As others have said, some didn't like the story arc for the series, and yes maybe it was a little OTT, but I really enjoyed the series as a whole.

RE: Am I in for a treat?
It's an entertaining series which does hold your interest effectively, but I'm not a fan of the way the overriding plots were carried out myself! Very enjoyable to watch though, and brilliant acting (as always) from the cast. Some nice film footage as well, they really went the extra mile in some scenes.

RE: Am I in for a treat?
I thought it was stellar. Each individual episode had me on the edge of my seat, and totally engaged me for the time it was on.

RE: Am I in for a treat?
I personally didn't think it was that brilliant, but that is the fun of Spooks. Loads of great acting and clever weekly plots, the overall story arc ruined it for me. I think how much you like series 9 may depend on who is your favourite character.
So yes, you're in for a treat no doubt. Hope you came and discuss your thoughts when you've watched it.

RE: Am I in for a treat?
The overarching plotline will possibly have you want to pull your hair out in frustration of how illogical it becomes, but the cinematography, direction, weekly plots, and above all the stellar acting is most definitely a treat to watch!!!

I say it's definitely worth a watch to see what it's all about, get your own views on it. But I can tell you one thing, the acting will leave you breathless and in awe, you'll probably never see better performances out of these actors!

RE: Am I in for a treat?
Ah yes, The Grid, you sure are in for a treat, in terms of actingskills, editing and episodical storielines.
The overall story-arc is to some of us (including me) a bit 'gaga' but you will see what you think of it.
I applaud your stamina to be able to wait until xmas to see S9 and to stay away from reading spoilers, I wouldn't be that strong!
