From my experience that's pretty much the exact opposite of what they do. There's a big difference between the likes of Spotlight and IMDB. IMDB is used by casting agencies, but anyone can edit the pages whereas Spotlight can only be edited by the actor or their agent.

I can only go on my experience of trawling Spotlight for the last year or two, but I've found it to be completely reliable, simply because this is the site that actors and their agents use to promote themselves to the theatrical community. Any inaccuracy would be picked up on pretty quickly the next time the actor in question went for an audition.

i shall put some filming info on the filming thread aswell. Smile

Series series 10 Spoiler: show
Why has nobody reacted to your information that Erin has a daughter called Rosie? I hope that we will not witness a child kidnapping from somebody bent on revenge on Harry. It seems that Harry's secret threatens not only him, but also those close to him. I always thought that Harry's family might be in danger. But not only Ruth, but also the families of those working with Harry, could face danger.

I did think when I saw that there is the potential for
Series 10 Spoiler: show
a kidnap story, they've never done that with an officer's child before (only hinted when Wes ran away). Perhaps Laura is not liked at first (hints given about her ambitious nature) and then the kidnap brings the team around her? Certainly hope it isn't used against Harry, he needs a break from that storyline.

In answer to your question about why nobody is reacting, I fear that some are scared to speak out for fear of being accused of talking "Spoilers"! Which is a shame, surely anything relating to a Series which hasn't aired yet is a Spoiler!!. It seems so many are being censored like this by other people. Sad
Spoiler: show
You're right a fellow officer having a family changes the dynamic as there is more to risk for Erin Character.
Wink

I actually hope that they're not going down that road
Series 10 Spoiler: show
and will use the child for a kidnap story but more to show how having a child would influence Erin's decisions when facing danger or generally when coping with long and unpredictable hours of work.
True, they have also done this before with Fiona having doubts about being in this job with having Wes but I would prefer this storyline and a mother's struggles. Maybe a kidnap story would just be too much action...

RE: Series 10 Casting Discussion
Has anyone else noticed
Series 10 Spoiler: show
that Lara Pulver is listed as age 30 and Amy Kendrick, who will be playing her daughter is apparently 19. Amy maybe playing a teenager and this gets around the restrictions for child actors, and we don't know how old Erin is supposed to be yet.
I suspect however that this is another example of that strange thing 'teens on telly with inappropriately young parents'.

RE: Series 10 Casting Discussion
I suppose this is either a mistake (don't know where you checked) or another actress altogether.
Series 10 Spoiler: show
I guess the Amy Hendrick who will be in S10 is about 7 or 8 years old. I've seen her spotlight page posted by someone on Twitter and she's quite a cute little girl. However Erin still must have been quite young when she got her considering she's about 30 now.
