would it not be a good idea to have Tom and Zoe come back as under agents posing as weapon dealers who have been working in Iran and discovered what they think to be weapons of mass destruction on there way to USA and they try to buy back the weapons on behalf of the CIA but MI5 intercept the deal and interrogate them?

I don't want Tom or Zoe anywhere near the series nine writers. I really don't feel they'd fit the show anymore.

At the time Byatil wrote that post, there was no rumour. The news that SM isn't in season 10 is less than 2 weeks old.

Anyway, I wonder if they will explain why Beth leaves or will it be kind of like Sam? I can imagine she could leave because she was a bit volatile and was closeish to Lucas?

Not sure if this is the right place, but wonder whether today's news of Bin LAden's death will mean any re-shoots/edits as even in fiction we couldn't really reference a known dead man as being alive. Unless that gives a new episode idea....he isn't really dead lol conspiracy theorists already starting!

Well, wouldn't that depend on the timeline? Like what time/date is Series 10 going to be set in? I mean, they could easily go around that issue to have it being set before Bin Laden's death.

It's a pity they killed off Mohamed Khordat in season 7, otherwise they could have made him Bin Laden's successor and have some storylines playing on the previous contact between Khordat and MI5. They could even have done a storyline how Khordat gave up Bin Laden to further his own ambitions, or how he got played by our heroes into inadvertently betraying Bin Laden's position.
