I would be interested in a subscription area (pending costs, of course!). As I see it, it's either that or have to wait until late 2010 to see series 8 on Youtube (assuming it gets uploaded) or early 2011 to get the region 1 DVDs.

Well, I'm just discovering the forum, so I'm still learning what's available and whatnot. But all I have to say is that I absolutely ADORE the layout of this site. I didn't have to read a single thread to know I wanted to join.

One little nitpick: I'd probably alter the Series 7 Forum description to something more specific, along the lines of "Adam's in danger as the Russians invade London."

I've been a member for maybe a month but observing pretty much since August. 90% is fabulous, and I'm usually pretty happy hanging out here.

I was going to PM this to the moderators but I'm having a lot of trouble sending them thanks to my crappy laptop so I've come here.

I have two main suggestions. The first concerns spoilers. I think it's great that the forum tries to protect people who are new to the show. The only problem is that the announcement at the top of most sections e.g. at the top of the general discussion section, only addresses how spoiler tags should be used in each of the series threads, not in the lower 3 sections of general discussion, characters/actors and .....the other one, I can't remember which it is. Some threads also seem to be more strictly policed in terms of spoilers in characters/actors, whereas there are others in the general discussion section where it is more common practice to simply leave them out. It's not as though I've fallen foul of this so I'm not talking through a mouthful of sour grapes, but I do think that either a) the spoiler announcement needs to be modified to include the idea that basically everything after season 1 is a spoiler, in which case all threads will pretty much be written in tags or b) certain threads about characters or the show as a whole should come with a warning that they assume the reader is up to date with the show as far as the last episode screened in the UK.

The second thing I'd like to suggest is maybe an archive of all interviews and articles filed chronologically, not just in separate threads. I think some of the videos are organized this way (in the publicity section?) and it would make it easier when trying to find articles to quote from.

With all of this said, I love the site, and if there becomes a subscriber section I'd definitely be up for a yearly fee, maybe a monthly for beginners. As long as it wasn't too grotesque. Sincerely, I so enjoy discussing my favourite current show, and I'm only honest because I know the staff want to make it a great forum.

In all honesty we are still finding our feet with spoilers. Yesterday I amended the announcement to specify how to handle spoilers the in the General Discussion and Character & Actor areas of the forum.

If in doubt about whether you need to use spoiler tags or not, just use them. What harm can it do if you use them when you don't need to?

I hope in time we can finally clear things up and sort all the spoiler stuff out, part of this happening requires another Moderator.. so I encourage people to apply!

No, I completely understand. But it's also why I'm keen to share my thoughts because everything is generally pretty neat.

BY the way Nitrus, I love that your picture is of Harry but your byline is "Resident Ros Reveller". Does that mean you're a fan of chemistry between Ros and Harry? They're so funny those two.

I have just found this thread whilst trying to find help with creating an avatar and thought I would give some feedback. I only found this site just after S8 finished airing last Xmas and I was just googling Spooks to see about news of another series.
This is a great site, everyone is so friendly and even when our opinions differ we still seem to be able to all respect one another. Civilised and mature are two words that spring to mind. I do visit the other sites, but always feel that I belong here somehow.
Also, when I encountered problems when trying to post a MCJ article and felt a bit daft, someone helped me out (Beatriz), which was nice.
So keep up the good work.

I think everyone knows i love it here. Things are easy to find and the layout is fantastic.

The only thing i have to point out is that one of the main things stopping me from 'becoming a spook' is that you loose the ranking system. Personally i like to see myself level up and reach a new goal ( Tongue

) and so the idea of loosing this is off-putting.

Don't think you can do anything about it though but thought i'd put it out there just in case you wanted to know. Smile

I suppose you could look at it that way... however i think I'll struggle for my place a bit more before i give in to the purchased promotion. Tongue
