Poll: Harry and Ruth - hot or not?

I wonder if Harry caught Ruth off-kilter with the marriage proposal. As others have said it was a quantum leap from keeping her at arms length and not taking up her offer of comfort in 8.8. And yes, I do think it's real, men do actually behave like this. I had a close but platonic working relationship with a guy for a couple years who just announced one day that he had left his wife for me! In the end I turned him down because moving things on so drastically placed me under too much pressure to make it work even though previously I thought it was what I wanted.
I wonder if Ruth was a bit freaked out by his proposal. He is quite emotionally needy at the moment after Ros' death and that's too much for Ruth who is still facing her own demons. Harry should go for babysteps with Ruth I think. They will get there in the end I'm convinced.

Problem is Harry is not getting any younger and nor is Ruth. Time is against them surely to enjoy life while they are still able.

One thing I did notice from watching 9.2 again is where Ruth was sitting after the phone call scene. In the meeting room straight after, she was sitting two seats away from Harry. I may have this wrong, but I can only remember Ruth either sitting next to Harry, or opposite him. I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

Given the life expectancy of those who work for Section D, I think its not so much that they are getting older than it is a miracle that either of them made it past 40! Big Grin

Wow, lots of H and R action in tonights episode...you could cut the atmosphere with a knife, god only knows what theire collegues think! Fingers crossed for break through very soon..

Yeh, loads of things to comment on but I think I will have to go back and watch it again first. The bit where Ruth lost it with him on the Grid, when he thought she had gone behind his back, was great.

Harry did though, once again, need Ruth to pull him around when he realised he had made a bad decision. He needs her to be there for him at work at the moment, even if it is painful.

Loved the ending with them. Harry looked in pain and Ruth looked shocked at what he said. He still hasn't given up on her, which is perhaps why she looked so shocked. I loved the way he just walked away from her. Left her on her own.

Oh my! What an episode for Harry and Ruth. Will have to watch it again but I do think that things are bound to come to a head very soon. They were so close in this episode! That scene in the corridor, I was begging him to just kiss her! In fact I thought that he was going to.

Ruth looked a little bit battered in the trailer and I'm not sure but I think it looked like there was a bomb blast and there were a few members of the grid around, falling about. I think I saw both Harry and Ruth but can't be sure. Here's hoping something will push them together.

Ha ha, that's why life keeps disappointing me Aria. I set myself up for the fall.

Can anyone explain the look on Ruth's face at the end? She seemed to soften a little if I'm not mistaken. She looked surprised at what he said and I'm not sure why, as she hasn't really given him a chance to show her the Harry outside the Grid yet. Maybe the Harry in the car with Kirby was him being just plain Harry. Doing the right thing for Kirby who had lost his daughter. Risking it all for a man, Harry hardly knew. It wasn't to impress Ruth I'm sure, but maybe he hoped it would.
