RE: New Doctor Who Discussion
Really enjoyed tonights episode, Flesh and Stone. It lived up to last week and in some ways surpassed it. I am being constantly impressed by Stephen Moffat and the subtle differences between him and RTD. Amy was brilliant and the scene "walk like you can see" had me really scared for her. Iain Glen was great and his final scene with MS was truly heartbreaking, "I will die in the knowledge that my courage did not desert me at the end." Can't wait to see him on Spooks!! Even more questions posed about River Song, who did she kill? And then there was the ending which I found hilarious. As ever next weeks episode seems too faraway.

RE: New Doctor Who Discussion
Aria's already talked about the two scenes I loved and I found it very poignant when the Doctor was asking Amy to remember. The 970 year old man with the awesome memory asking her to remember!

There isn't much else to say. You know my love for Moffat and I find his writing both exhilarating and depressing in equal parts.

I think these two episodes might be a little too scary for really young kids though. You'd certainly want to watch them first.

I think Chris Chibnall wrote the next episode and he has written some wonderful stuff for both Who and Torchwood. So I'm looking forward to that.

RE: New Doctor Who Discussion
What was he asking her to remember again?

I thought that maybe:

Spoiler: show
River had killed the Doctor?

Yeah that's what I thought to when she said he was the best man he had ever met or something along those lines?

RE: New Doctor Who Discussion
Yeh exactly, plus when she appeared in Series 4, for the library one, we find out that she knows The Doctor's name and he says "There's only one way someone would know my name, there is only one time I would ever divulge that..."

He doesn't clarify, but he does imply that he means his death.... Confused

It could also be that she has to have PRETENDED to have killed him for whatever reason.

RE: New Doctor Who Discussion
I love that River Song is such an unknown. We know that she is important to the Doctor in some way and has met him in his different regenerations and she has a blue book all about their meetings. She could be anyone from his mother, to his wife to his killer, maybe all three!!. I also love the fact that when she is around the Doctor isn't all-knowing anymore, he becomes uncertain. As JHyde says "Spoilers". lol
The only thing that's annoying me about DW is the BBC scheduling. I wish they would stop playing around with its start time, just pick a time and stick to it. How hard can it be??

RE: New Doctor Who Discussion
I;m impressed at how fast the ABC is showing the new season here. They are exactly two weeks and one day behind the BBC. Actually, it's more like 2 weeks and 12 hours with the time difference.
