Who did the commentary? I'm really interested to hear these ones as I don't have season 3 commentaries on Region 4 DVDs Sad

That is why I always buy my DVD's from the UK & not here in Australia

Based on what was said, the weather in this ep and the last was awful -- cold, rainy and windy. People were freezing in all the outdoor scenes, especially the ones by the river. Poor Keeley Hawes was wearing that strapless dress in the wedding scene and the temp was in the minus numbers. The opening scene, which was supposed to be in the middle east, was shot on the roof of a building in London -- the actor that played Khordad had a heater at his feet, underneath the rather voluminous costume. Nasty conditions to be out in, let alone to try to act in!

Thanks, JHyde -- appreciate it!

I have a different view on this. I think if Harry's daughter hadn't been involved, he would have agreed with Adam's approach every step of the way. That's why we see them agreeing on the way forward as soon as Catherine is out of danger (I believe Harry had a small army armed to the teeth protecting her after she was ataacked, leaving him free to concentrate on the operation), as reflected in the 'rumble in the jungle' scene. So, in essence, Harry only disagreed with Adam when he thought Adam's decisions might put Catherine in danger.

Agreed, Silktie -- their general thinking about the op showed that they were on the same wavelength, imo.

I've just rated you for this as well, I think !
I really appreciated the summaries you do (it must take you a lot of work), I don't have time to watch the episodes twice, but love finding out about the commentaries.

I still don't agree with you two on this. I re-watched the episode again for Ruth's Diary and was really looking for it this time. There is a very clear point around the 40min mark where they do come together and Harry and Adam realise that the other's strengths can help them in this job, but prior to that I think both of them had personal agendas that made them more prone to showing their faults. Adam's main fault is that is too keen to 'live dangerously' and put others in the firing line sometimes and Harry's main one is that he jumps to conclusions.

I do think that together they're a force to be reckoned with and by the end of this episode Adam's lateral thinking and Harry's logic bear them out well and is the beginning of a beautiful friendship, but the first 40 mins are quite another story. I think.

RE: 3.4 DVD Commentary
Absolutely, I agree with that. I think my and lwhite's point is that as soon as personal issues are out of the way, these two approach operations in the same way, and that Harry would have been on Adam's wavelength right from the start if his daughter had not been in the picture.

Erm, that does make sense in my head...
