I think I may be happiest about the improved camera work this season. For the most part we could actually see what was going on, which was great.

This is perhaps the biggest problem I have with Ruth. Nobody is that good all the time, but still in series 9, Ruth is always right. Please Kudos let Ruth make a mistake then at least we'll know she is human!

This is just depressing.....my wishlist for Series 9 is pretty much in pieces, everything I had hoped for was not only not given, I got the exact opposite of what I wanted!

The only thing I can take comfort in is more Harry/Lucas scenes, amazing performances from Peter and Richard, and the Harry/Lucas handshake.

Oh and I suppose the nice surprise of Nicola and Richard finally getting to be on screen together!

I think Ruth did get something wrong. She didn't go to Harry with her suspicions about Lucas. In fact it was Tariq who went to Harry straightaway when he found the keyboard tracking device. I know that she probably thought that he wouldn't listen given their personal situation, but she deprived Harry of the choice of doing something about Lucas earlier and maybe saving the day.

Following Tea Lady's great idea I also look back at my wishes.

More Lucas stories......wish they hadn't.
Harry and Lucas relationship.......well that will never be explained now, and a heart to heart just before Lucas kills himself wasn't exactly what I was hoping for.

Reviewing my list:

1. Please please PLEASE less shakycam! Sometimes you can't see what's going on and you loose all interest in the scene.

Yep. We got this!

2. Harry and Ruth progression please.

Yarp.

3. Try a Tariq centered episode.

No.

4. Less zooming in and out during conversations. It does NOT add dramatic effect when over-used. (Again see point 1).

I think we got this too.

5. Less action and more fleshing out the characters. Action is all well and good, but if you don't worry about the characters lives/personalities because action's all they do, we get bored. If they do eventually get shot or something we go "YES! Finally! Now stop it." rather than "Oh NO!"

Errrmmm? Not sure on this one. We got quite a bit of it so i'll tick it off.

6. More humour please. The show used to be so good at balancing a comical aspect to make it feel more realistic as a workplace. Now all the characters appear to be either a) heavily depressed or b) too caught up in world domination, to be human.

We did have a bit more humor in this series. (Maybe not as much as i'd like. The series was angsty but a good kind of angst. The amount we got was perfectly satisfactory).

7. More staff is an obvious one. I also don't just mean main character staff. Background staff we see but never hear appear to have pretty much vanished except for in desperate situations on the grid.

We had this. The new background people were there! Woo!

8. None of the grid members argue or bicker anymore. (Again see point 6).

Don't recall any real bickering...

9. Now that Ruth is back and settled make more use of her skills! She is SO good at her job so please don't waste it.

Definitely had this checked off.

10......... Cast me in an episode. Please! I am a drama student if that helps... (Wishful thinking but i'd love to work in this show!)
