I think it is either the makeup, lighting, or she has had something done. It just looks odd. When she turns her face and neck gets all old lady like....Huh

I have only been watching Spooks with Ros since Series 7 and I have always thought her skin looked 'tight' for the lack of a better word. She also looks a lot thinner than in the Series 5 when she first came on. (thank God for someone posting it online so I can catch up) She is extremely fit looking so maybe she is keeping herself super thin for the role. She has never been flab but still last season and this season, she looked a lot thinner to me. Sometimes, weight loss like that will give your face an odd look anyway and if she has had work done, it just makes it odder looking? Not sure is that makes sense. Blush

Now that you mention it. I also noticed for a second now and then something 'odd' as you put it, and I thought it was because she was thinner than last season. I agree, her role demands a lot of physical exercise plus I suppose she makes exercise on her own so the loss of weight shows on her face.

RE: Episode 2 Discussion
Good evening all, this is my first post so please bear with me if I inadvertently tread on any toes or reiterate any previous threads (and please let me know if I do, us newbies have to be kept in line, or we just think we’re running the show). Just watched S8E2 for the first time tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it, I felt from the very outset that Thumper was going to get his comeuppance before the hour was up, someone that nasty just has to be taken down. And yes the new CIA liaison is annoying enough for me not to remember her name either, and any liaison at Claridges with the CIA liaison is bound to end in tears as I seem to remember it doing so with Tom many years ago. Tariq is a good addition to the team I suppose the hi-tech gadgetry had to be handed over to a young techno-geek at some point but I have to say that Malcolm’s final act of offering himself for the boy in S8E1 is just how I want to remember him. Being a big Ros fan I am a little bit wary of Ruth’s return but then again as she is the "anti-Ros" in her personality so it will give some depth to the rest of the series, and it’ll be interesting to see how the relationship between her and Harry compromises any future operations. I mean, they might as well be together as any of the teams spouses who aren’t MI5 certainly seem to be living on borrowed time (and even some those who are MI5). Lucas certainly seems to be having a hard time of it in this episode with his “taking one for the team” in his visits to the strip club and his clandestine meeting wth the CIA woman (what’s her name again?) and I agree with one of the previous posts saying how nice Jo looked dolled up in that dress as Camilla Hamilton-Bligh. Although, she did make a very nice job of finishing Thumper off after he had very obligingly dismissed his own security (and yes, I did spot Tariq in the hallway in his waiters uniform although he had is back to us). Lastly, my favourite part was when flopsy (although he hadn’t been so named at this point) was following BB and up behind him pops Ros (told you I was a big Ros fan) and you just know, as sure as eggs is eggs that she is going to bring him down and she certainly did’nt disappoint. Down goes flopsy and he’s only saved by his wagon load of henchmen turning up to rescue him from hard as nails Ros. Perhaps it was the ease with which she took him down that earned him his very appropriate nickname.

RE: Episode 2 Discussion
I watched both episodes on Youtube. I vowed not to do it, but it didnt last long.
I am glad Harry survived and Ruths comeback couldnt have been written better. Also Malcoms departure was quite moving.
I dont mind the new CIA officer. I wouldnt judge that it will end the same way as the Tom saga. It has a different feel to it already. Jo seems to have stepped in to the breech in the first two episodes.

RE: Episode 2 Discussion
Is it me, or is the new guy Tariq checking out Ros when she walks past him the first time? He better not let her catch him do it, or he won't live to see his next birthday...
