The reason I mentioned Meynard (seperately) was that we, the audience, know that Sarah is part of the Basel Group called Nightingale (she killed Walker to protect it), so we can also infer that the guy on the end of the phone when she was tracking Meynard was also part of the same group.

Hope this makes better sense.

I must rewatch the episode, I'm not sure in what order the events happened Tongue
I found this article about this episode, in case you want to have a look at it...
It made me laugh! I like the way she describes Lucas and Christine 2.0 relationship Big Grin and robospook!! LOL

RE: Episode 5 Discussion
Eiger, I've started a thread in the general discussion area for discussion about the tatts and their continuity. You might want to re-post your photos and questions there.

You're not off topic or anything, it's just that the tatts have started conversations which usually DO end up being off topic.

Admittedly, I've only seen the episode once which is unusual for me, and I was in a state of extraordinary fatigue when I did, but I'm pretty sure I have that timeline right. I've been thinking about it a lot. Plus, I didn't trust my memory as much as usual, as evidenced by the fact I took notes about what I wanted to talk about. Which is VERY unusual.

But Ruth's info didn't come until the end of the ep (last 5-ish minutes). The killing of Maynard in the TV studio happens around the middle of the ep.

I agree with lwhite, the scene where Sarah gets to Maynard in the TV studio comes before Ruth tells Lucas that her phone signal shows that she was close to Walker when he died. At the time of the confrontation with Maynard at the TV studio, Lucas did not yet suspect that Sarah had killed her boss. He should have wondered, however, what she was doing at the TV studio, or how she knew Maynard would be there. Maybe he did start to wonder about it later, and this contributed to him being more willing to believe Ruth's evidence against Sarah?

RE: Episode 5 Discussion
Oh you guys are saying why didn't he start thinking Sarah was involved when they saw her at the TV studio?

Oooooh OK, I don't have an answer for that. I'll have to watch the episode again. People on the blogs couldn't understand that either.

RE: Episode 5 Discussion
I meant to come back and talk about this. Remember immediately before they went to the studio Sarah had been roped in to help on the matter, so they seemingly took her along with them.

I can't remember if they'd had reason to distrust her yet at that point, but I don't think so.

RE: Episode 5 Discussion
She intercepted the transmission. I don't think Lucas even knew she was there in the first place.
I am so confused. Guess I am going to re watch that......again...

RE: Episode 5 Discussion
MI5 didn't take Sarah along. Lucas mentioned to Sarah that they were looking for Coleville because it appeared that Meynard might be his next target, but they never asked her for any help finding Coleville. Sarah turned up at the tv studio (sent by Nightingale) looking for Coleville because she wanted to use him as cover for her murder of Walker (the plan was to blame Walker's murder on Coleville, along with the other murders he'd already committed). So she tried to kill Coleville, but he escaped. There has never been, imo, any satisfactory explanation as to why MI5 never questioned Sarah about why she was at the tv studio and how she found out where Coleville would be.
