Actually, I was sure to have writen in this thread and talked about Connie and Lucas... Even I searched the thread... Confused

but it seems that I must have dreamed about it... quite disturbing Undecided

So my post would have sth like this (I agree with most things you've said)

I liked Connie's introduction, for me one of the best, it was amazing the "thing" she had in her basement... I was amazed! It seemed natural to me that Harry asked her to come back to the grid.

I also liked the way Lucas was introduced, and he's going to be a good character with all his backround I reckon we're beginning to know him...

Ros' introduction was a bit weird for me... after all her father and company did... I'm not sure abour my feelings towards Ross Tongue

, her betrayals and all, she's very good at her work but... I don't know...

Connie, Connie, Connie. It seemed by the way she was introduced to us that she was a secret best kept secret. Of course with what we find out later, that was true.

Ros's intro was interesting though. And let's face it Adam has unusual recruiting methods and an unusual choice in recruits.

Adam did have a bizarre recruiting process, but I think that he picked the right ones. He saw the ones that had potential, regardless of the circumstances, and asked them to join.

Connie definitely was a secret best kept secret! I really like that description, and it fits her really well.

But I couldn't believe no-one had talked about her because the way she enters the show is just so brilliant. I think the introduction of Connie, and the development of Jo, were the best things about an otherwise comparatively weak season 6.

And Neil Cross really likes monkeys in his scripts!

"A monkey could do that Malcolm, couldn't they? A monkey?"

And then that snide remark in 6.10 by the Venezuelan comparing Adam to his "pet monkey...with real cojones."

Has to be Adam's for me. As Silktie says it fitted well into the storyline, and Adam's totally different to Tom, who you knew was ready to leave before he actually went.

It felt arrogant.

That's what I found endearing about Adam. He had such a genuine swagger about him. An undying confidence in what he stood for and what he was born to do.

And as far as introduction's go, I'd say his was the best. But it took me a while to see that. Initially I was leery of him because it felt like he was invading the grid. I was like, "Who's this guy? Doesn't he know Tom runs this show!" Big Grin

But I grew to love him, and looked back at his introduction fondly. He was brought in to rectify Section D in their darkest hour, and he did it with such bravura.

I rather liked all the introductions overall, except for Fiona's. Adam's was fine for the tramp bit, but after that he felt a bit too perfect, I adore Ruth's because it's so endearing (plus we get the Harry Mutley-laugh and Zoe and Danny looking at him like 'What the heck?' Big Grin

), Ros' was quite good IMO but I didn't like the 'What'll happen to my father?' scene very much, Connie's was brilliant (leaving the younger Spooks outside - LOL), I loved the 'is-he-isn't-he-a-traitor' aspect to Lucas', and although Jo's was a bit impromptu (really? One successful evening and she's recruited? Undecided

) I did like it because it kind of honed back to the days when the only way to join was to be recruited like that.

Have I missed anyone out? Tongue

I'm gonna say Ruth's intro was the best, followed by Sam (what happened to Sam? In America they didn't show what happened to her). Ruth was clumsy & self-concious whereas the others were sophisticated & suave. I tell ya, I'd be 20x worse than Ruth was if I ever made it to the Grid.

They didn't show her exit at all. She just didn't come back after S3. In one of the companion books (possibly Harry's Diary?) they explained
