Series 9 DVD Release
yorkshiretyke pointed me to this so thanks to them.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Spooks-9-DVD-Pet...769&sr=8-1

There it is, the pre-order page for Series 9 on DVD, to be released in Feb.

As much as I like the early release, this disturbs me because it could mean Series 9 is the last series of Spooks. Sad

RE: Series 9 DVD Release
Have they ever had a DVD release this early before? Besides hasn't there been talk that a 10th series has been commissioned, besides why bring in so many new characters for the final series?

RE: Series 9 DVD Release
I know but why release it this early?

I've never heard of it being released this early, I'll check. Maybe it will be pushed back later nearer the time.

EDIT: Here's a list of DVD releases:

Earliest one is June which was for Series 1, which is understandable.

RE: Series 9 DVD Release
Perhaps they are planning on broadcasting a possible series 10 earlier?

RE: Series 9 DVD Release
Damn, Amazon US doesn't even have a pre-release page for series 8 yet! I'm jealous.

RE: Series 9 DVD Release
The series 7 DVD was announced for February or March (2009) as well at first and everyone thought they had come to their senses but in the end it was postponed until October. I expect the same to happen with series 9.

RE: Series 9 DVD Release
Just to add to the mix, did you notice that it only says there will be 3 discs?

Also, quite excitedly, if you look on Play.com

http://www.play.com/Search.html?searchst...chsource=0

They are also advertising Spooks Series 9 (2 discs) on Blu-ray Yahoo

I do have my doubts for a Feb release. If they are going to release early, then why not do it December and make the Christmas sales.

Didn't somebody say, another company was now in charge of the DVD's, that Company being Universal. Perhaps they have some influence on how and when these things are done. I am no expert at all though.

RE: Series 9 DVD Release
Ah if it's Universal they want to cash in ASAP (and hopefully meaning that they will push the discs over to other regions faster as well), maybe also to raise funds for Series 10?

RE: Series 9 DVD Release
Well, since I always complain how late the DVDs are usually released, I really hope it is released early in the year. That would be more like other BBC series released on DVD.
