RE: The end of spooks...
I am definitely disappointed with the official impending end. This is my favorite show. I own the first 9 seasons on DVD. I will get the 10th, and watch the series again and again, I'm sure of that.

RE: The end of spooks...
Perhaps NW is meaning 'audacious' in terms of being bold and daring enough to end Spooks happily? Just a thought

I want to watch the final series with my own thoughts and not be driven insane by comments about how romantic or happy equals soppy and out of character. I'm going to put my faith in the writers and enjoy it, shed a tear and then one day marvel that two actors could have such a unique and mesmerising effect on me.

Thanks to everyone who has been so generous with their links, info, stories and cds. I have really, really appreciated them all.

Hope everyone really enjoys the last series!

Hey I feel everything you've written. I am actually disappearing to real spy territory for the next few weeks anyway with work and no internet access (very excited about that) but I'll pop back at some point. Perhaps you just need some time out. It's all just so sad and I can't believe how affected I feel about it! Ridiculously so, as you say.

RE: The end of spooks...
It's my favourite program, and it's been a great 10 years. I'd rather it end on a high, than dribble off into nonsense.
Hope the writers of the last series won't let us down.

RE: The end of spooks...
I don't like the sound of a big bang. Sounds like one of them will be no more !

RE: The end of spooks...
I don't like the sound of Big Bang either... gunshot perhaps?
And thats the fear, if one of them dies there's no more Harry and Ruth and that definatly brings it to a conclusion...of course just having them get together could work that out Tongue
I just hope it really ends on a high... not a cliche ending Wink

RE: The end of spooks...
I have very mixed feelings about this news. The first is sadness. The second is resignation. It's been great, KUDOs. I can count the programmes that have engaged me to this level on one hand. I would have given Spooks a chance without Harry or Ruth. Perhaps begrudgingly, but I would. I'm hoping for two hour specials.

As for that picture of Harry and Ruth in The Sun - these things are called "teasers" for a reason.

I mentioned to Mr AC that the announcement had been made and he said, "Now you're going to have to find something else to obsess about." Dodgy

Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks];
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

Smile My husband agrees with your husband. What a relief! He no longer has to correct my reviews and replies right now. He is vaguely aware of Spooks.

Even though the picture of Harry and Ruth is a "teaser", it is a beautiful one. So romantic, perhaps so misleading!

RE: The end of spooks...
I like the Guardian article. Talks some sense. Spooks is just good TV for a lot of people, an enjoyable hour in front of the box. Was money the real reason behind all this or just one of several?

Someone tried to get Downing Street involved. Nice try Smile
