On a somewhat related note, any idea why Harry wasn't given the same birthday as Peter, given that they are only 4 days apart (Harry's birthday is 1 November, 1953)? I noticed that Ruth has Nicola's birthday, so I was just curious.

I'm pretty sure it's wondering about things like this that verify that I'm insane - about Spooks anyway! Vueltasss

Happy birthday to the boy, wherever you are in the world. x

Thanks, pookster. It is nice to know I'm not alone in this. Smile

Happy birthday, Mr Firth!

Hope he's celebrating it with a particularly good paella.

With a fine champagne!

BTW...my OH has been offered a job in a village very close to Marlow and we'll be moving there soon. I'm sure I'll be visiting Marlow quite a bit for shopping...

Excellent - well done on finding that, Pookster!!

I have a little programme that downloads Youtube videos and converts them into .avi files, so I can watch them on my DVD player. PM me if you want the link to download the (free) programme.

And here's the link to PF's 'Fitz' (US version of 'Cracker') episode:

If you haven't already, you can vote for Peter (and Nicola) on the Cultbox website. Best actor 2011. I'm not sure if I am allowed to post the link here but it's pretty easy to find on google search anyway.

Wow! Just Wow! Thanks, picard for that truly disturbing but incredible work by PF. He might just be one of the most courageous actors around. How he manages to make a character like that even remotely sympathetic, I will never know. He certainly has an eye for them. But the best baddies are the ones who have a reasonably plausible motivation, even if it is just barely reasonable.

Ironically, as much as I really like Robert Pastorelli as an actor, I missed this b/c I preferred the UK version of Cracker.

Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks];
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

RE: Peter Firth #3
I am so happy that Peter Firth accepted the role of Harry. Over the years his great acting skills were scattered in various TV shows and movies. Spooks allowed us to discover a fabulous actor with an incredible range of emotions. I too find him very courageous in the choice of the characters he plays. Soldier, Soldier, is also disturbing, but not as much as Fitz. I won't even mention the two other unsettling roles he is famous for.
