RE: Death of Adam
Same for me as Dieder. I knew what was going to happen but I was pleasantly surprised when he went at the end of the first episode.

Sorry I'm in the minority here, I was pleased to see Adam go but even more pleased to see Lucas arrive! Wink

RE: Death of Adam
Oooooooooh, she wanted Adam to go. Angry Evil person, (joking Wink.) Lucas is perhaps a more interesting character than Adam, but they (and Tom) all really annoy me because the show always seems to be about them... well, less so with Lucas, but he's only had 1 series.

General question for everyone - do you think that his final sequence where he dies, etc, is better with or without knowing that he's going to die? In the Boy in the Striped Pyjamas it works, whereas there are some films and television episodes that you can only watch once.

DANNY - Placements all over the shop. Back up vehicles, chopper support if we need it. Bomb disposal with a signal jammer for Mary’s trademark remote control blasts. And Tom here’s doing the catering. Mate. You are so covered.

RE: Death of Adam
I'm evil I know! Wink

Good question & difficult to answer. Having watched it knowing he was going to die, it's difficult to then look at it from a different angle. With Adam I think I would have preferred to have not known but if it was a character I was fond of, I would prefer to know I think so I could be prepared. Does that make sense?

RE: Death of Adam
I understand what you mean. I personally disagree with you, I dislike knowing that someone is going to die, especially if it's someone I know. I had this problem with a spoiler about Spooks, where I accidentally read a spoiler (not on this website) about Series 8, which spoils my excitement as by the time it gets to October, I won't be overly excited or surprised about it.

And I think I know which spoiler you're referring to! Wink I too wish I didn't know that particular one, it would have been brilliant if it was a complete surprise. Having said that, I can't keep away from any spoilers, I need to know.

RE: Death of Adam
I too was sad when Adam died, but without wishing to hurt anyone's feelings it did make room for the gorgeous Mr Armitage...... Heart

RE: Death of Adam
For me, Adam's departure was expected: but why did he have to be "killed off"? I think there was the potential for Adam to survive the crash, but with terrible injuries necessitating him to be absent from a series or two. As things have turned out, maybe Adam could have been brought back to conduct the search for Harry? This is not to say I dislike Lucas. Very interesting character development.

I'm with you, almh, when it comes to spoilers Wink sometimes inevitable...
The same happened to me, I think we are talking about the same spoiler, I read it in the facebook fansite of Spooks...

I didn't know Adam was going to disappear, and even less in the first episode, I was really shocked Sad I couldn't believe it...

The bright side (if it has one), is that now we have Lucas Rolleyes I don't mean they were incompatible

(I must get to study now!! It's about time! I'm hooked to this forum!! Tongue)

RE: Death of Adam
I really didn't like it when Adam died.. Every time I see his final scene, I think: "come on, get out of the car, it's so simple!", but every time he doesn't do it Sad Tongue
