That's hilarious....we know nothing about this guy except that he's really likeable and a bit goofy. I like that they didn't take the route of making Malcolm's replacement a really difficult person top get on with. Not that they'd really have time to explore it! But it was a good move to make him as different as possible.

Thanks for that JHyde I spent ages trying to find something about him! I was certain somewhere they mentioned something about him working for google... We really need to find out more information about him!!!

I really want to interview him actually, because there's only the one interview done with him that was part of a bigger piece behind the scenes with the Daily Record.

I'm going to take a pass at Tessa's sometime this week.

There was an article about the actor that did indeed mention that the character has come to MI5 after working at Google. Don't have it saved anymore but found it by googling (how ironic!) the actor's name.

After studying at Oxford University, Zoe fullfilled her wish of working for MI5 when she joined section D in 1997. Zoe was a cunning linguist and brilliant at her job. She could handle any task Tom cared to throw at her. She was charming and quick-witted which made her a real expert undercover, and she was equally good at analysing data and getting answers in the office.

She had always looked up to Tessa, and it was a massive blow to discover she was corrupt; and even more as Zoe was very much involved in her downfall. Zoe once again went through a similar hard time when Tom was decommissioned. As she watched the toll life at MI5 took on her friends and colleagues, she started to realise that there are massive downsides to being a Spook.

She also developed a close friendship with one of her team colleagues and subsequently flat mate, Danny.

An error of judgement in an undercover operation cost Zoe her career in the service, being convicted of conspiracy to murder. She was forced to flee the country, and afterwards was joined by her fiancé Will.

Nowadays Zoe lives under an assumed identity in Chile with her, now, husband and their daughter.
