RE: Episode 4 Discussion
Yup I agree she's in there to use him - but I think she has actually grown attached to him which she didn't intend, that wasn't part of the plan. Going to be interesting how they balance the manipulation and passion in the following episodes. I think Lucas really likes her - probably because of him time in prison he's craving the affection. You could see how upset he got when he realised she was there to bug his flat. It was more of a motherly hug she gave him at the end - although what they got up to at the start wasn't motherly at all......................

Perhaps she has somekind of affection for Lucas but her look when she was hugging Lucas... I didn't like it at all!!

I'm not sure she's actually grown attached to him yet, but I think she will. And I agree, the dynamic between them will be an interesting balancing act to watch.

RE: Episode 4 Discussion
Well that was when she told Lucas she loved him so much that i decided Sarah Caulfied was a psychopath its just what they would do, push someone over a railing in cold blood without any feeling then go and tell someone again in a cold way that they loved them. Her eyes showed how cold she is.

I am surprised that Lucas couldnt see she was acting when she told him she was sorry, it was pathetic how she said it. After those scenes i thought Geneveive O'rielly a good actress, i think she's played her down deliberately until now to make us think she's a boring character when theres really this psychopathic side to her.

RE: Episode 4 Discussion
So we've gone from hating Christine 2.0 to thinking it's just a superb piece of acting? Amazing the difference that an extra couple of episodes of Spooks can do Wink I think I'm going to have to wait till next episode to judge whether or not I agree with you.

She was lying through her pretty little teeth, and not very well either in my opinion. However, I think Lucas has truly fallen for her, and expect an epic scene in a future episode where Lucas must choose between her and Harry, probably directly after he finds out that Harry lied through his pretty teeth about the Basel meeting.

RE: Episode 4 Discussion
Harry has surprisingly pretty teeth given he's British.

I also think she's lying
Spoiler: show
although I do think she develops feelings for him given the summary released by the Press Office for episode 8.
I'm sure few here would argue with the idea of liking Lucas a bit more than they should! Remember that playing a bad guy who isn't confirmed as a bad guy is a dodgey process in TV, as you never know what happens once an editor gets involved.

Harry has pretty much lied to everyone about the Basel meeting except Ruth and Walker, and now Walker's dead. H didn't tell Ros why she was put in undercover at the meeting of the billionaires club and, as far as I know, he still hasn't told her. Why would he tell Lucas at this point? All H has is one piece of an elusive puzzle -- can't put it all together without knowing what the picture looks like -- and H is not generally forthcoming with information until he has some sense of the end game.

To be honest, I might well lie to Lucas too, if I'd just found out that he was sleeping with the CIA liason officer. It's been hanging over Harry for four seasons now, and people like to harass him about it, but he knows how easy it is to indiscreetly confide secrets in bed.

Fair observation. And it didn't do much for Tom and Christine either, as Harry is well aware.
