Guten Abend from Berlin
just wanted to say hi,
I've recently discovered (and got totally hooked on) Spooks, have watched seasons 7 & 8 and now I'm trying to play catch up with the rest. Particularly hard as over here in Germany season 1 only aired last year and I'm not too fond of watching dubbed versions. DVDs it is then.
Other than slavishly following the trials and tribulations of Lucas, Ros, Harry and the other spooks I juggle jobs in education, entertainment and advertising. And I'm obsessed with Photoshop so I will use this forum as outlet for my ideas Smile
looking forward to exchanging views with like-mined fans .. and to the big season finale Smile

Welcome!!

Dubbed versions are not good, at least not as good as the original version Wink

We all are looking forward for the finale!!! Smile

You can tell us something about you in this thread Big Grin

Dubbed versions are pretty terrible, I agree.

Welcome to the forum! Harry himself spent time in Germany as a field officer.

Well done Beatriz, now it's your turn to plug the thread Wink

Hello! Welcome! Dubbed versions are pretty hilarious, unless you actually want to enjoy the episode. I once watched an episode of Doctor Who dubbed in both French and German (at different times obviously,) and although it was hilarious, I couldn't take the episode seriously.

Ich kann ein bisschen Deutsch sprechen Big Grin aber ich kann nicht "bisschen" schrieben... (I did German GCSE last year, sorry for the random German Tongue And an even bigger apology for the bad German - I think it's roughly right...)

DANNY - Placements all over the shop. Back up vehicles, chopper support if we need it. Bomb disposal with a signal jammer for Mary’s trademark remote control blasts. And Tom here’s doing the catering. Mate. You are so covered.

I'm challenging JHyde Wink

"How did you find Spooks Forum" thread is also a good one to start Wink

I've seen Lucas' wallpaper and it's amazing.

RE: Guten Abend from Berlin
LOL - I'll find a place to start Smile
for the time being I'll just do a spot of recon Wink and spend some time on more "art".. it's actually the main reason I came here.. but that's a story for the "How did you find Spooks Forum" thread Tongue

as for dubbed versions - once I've seen the original and heard the original voices I just can't go back to the butchered one (it's not just the language, the dialogues are weird too, lose a lot in translation). I am German born and bread but my "chosen native" language is English (or Geordie, as evil southerners claim Wink)

@almh - keine Entschuldigung notwendig, dein Deutsch ist sehr gut Smile
